Blue Water & Stratford City Westfield

Pretty lucky that my Step dad has to travel around a bit for work at the weekend because recently wherever he's gone, he's dropped my mum and I off for a spot of shopping. So in the last few weeks I've been to Blue Water and Stratford City Westfield and picked up some nice little bits :) I haven't done a haul in ages so have added a few other bits in too :)

These wedges I got for FIVE POUNDS..I tend to wear my Freda's a hell of a lot but for a fiver I couldn't resist!!

Haven't been in to Republic for months because to be honest I think half their stuff is crap but managed to pick up this gorgeous coat and then popped into the actual Vera Moda shop and found this super comfy jumper, it's so easy to wear and so versatile.

F21 simple for summer (if we ever get one!)              River Island. Love this dungaree style dress.

Primark

 1. I bought this t in a super big size so I can wear it as an oversized T with leggings or can probably get away with it as an easy throw on in the summer. At £6 you can't go wrong.
2. Got this lace dress ages ago now and haven't had the chance to wear it yet, it came with a slip but think it would look cute with a crop top and shorts underneath (need to loose a bit more weight first)
3. Also got this ages ago now but think it's so cute! Still haven't worn it though. Woops
4. This was a Stratford City buy. As i'm loosing weight i'm getting into crop tops, will probably wear this with my high waisted purple velvet leggings.
5. MY FAVOURITE BUY. I usually hate wearing fakes of things but I couldn't resist these and of course will always admit they aren't real but at £12 and only pair left in my size it'd be rude not to!!

Easing my way back into this blogging malarky, between not having any money, moving, loosing all confidence in myself and a whole bunch of other crap blogging was the last thing I've thought about but lately things are back on track and i'm feeling a bit better so we will see whats to come of it...

Time for a change

I know I know i'm the worlds worst blogger but I have been ridiculously busy this past month and my interent never works so I have to wait until I come back to my mums to actually do anything HOW ANNOYING.

Anyways, in December I felt it was time for a change, WGSN was a wicked company to work for and I learnt so much in the time I was there but felt staying there wasn't going to benefit me anymore than it had already therefore I searched for a new placement, and the next day I had one.

I am now working in the design studio for Little White Lies, they're currently found in Urban Outfitters but are a fairly new label and are looking to expand. This placement is perfect for me as I get to be involved with the business in all aspects which will benefit my final year studying.

The people are really lovely and working in such a small studio is enabling me to learn so much, I've only been there a week and have been included in design decisions as well as pattern cutting, sewing toiles, trim and fabric sourcing. I love it! I am so happy there as i'm in a really creative studio with really creative and lovely people and i'm excited for whats to come!!

Sorry I haven't blogged in ages i've been SO busy. I finish at WGSN today and have a bit of a break before starting a new placement so i'm going to get back into it for definite! 

One of my new years resolutions will definitely be to make time to blog xx

Re-vamping Valentino

So I told you in my previous post that I had managed to find this vintage Valentino blazer in a charity shop for under a tenner and here it is.

It’s absolutely massive and it’s shoulders are so big I look like Frankenstein which leads me to this revamp but I love it and I’m going to wear it as a coat rather than a blazer so it doesn't matter.

I haven’t revamped anything in ages and I’m feeling so un-creative lately so thought whilst I was back at mums and had my sewing machine to hand I thought I may as well.

The finished garment is pretty similar, the shoulders are just less structured. 

If I had the balls i'd totally unpick the whole garment just to have a look at the insides. It sounds super weird but after making a bespoke jacket last year at uni it would be SO interesting to see how other designers tailor their jackets.
